why would you guys compare this to a roll bar? the purpose of bars maybe the same because they are to stiffen the chassis, but you have to realize that you cannot compare the two because they are different. different in designs and location within the car. it's like comparing a roll cage to a lower tie bar.
if you want to compare function, then compare the miracle x bar to a strut bar and c-pillar bar. cause they have the same meet points.
for the money and for function, a roll bar would be wayyy better. but if you already have one, then what's next? strut bars? tie bars?
not tryin to argue with you guys. haha i just don't think it's right to compare the two. lol

yah but roll cages are ugly and unneeded in most cases
and yes it will fit, there is no type 1 or 2 for DC, only the original and the original plus optional bar

If you already have a roll bar, the only thing left is to make it a full cage. Nothing else would do anything. If you already have a full cage, well then that's it. There's nothing else you can do to stiffen the car, except maybe stitch-weld the entire unibody structure and fill the cavities inside the metal with structural foam.

don't know why you'd want to run these bars with the back seats in anyhow... for looks? cause if you had passengers in the BACK seats: 1. it's unsafe for them during an accident, 2. it would be uncomfortable, and 3. did i mention unsafe?

hey say they are mean to retain use of the back seats so i think in most cases as long as you don't have the optional bars it will be ok for passengers

Optional bar or not, there are still bars attaching to the rear upper seat belt bolts. A collision from the rear that's more towards the side of the car could certainly send a rear passenger's head flying back into the bar.

uh...i think either way, if you have these bars, it's not safe for rear passangers. i don't even think a c-pillar bar is safe for rear passangers
