ok. after pulling my engine and putting it back in, im very confused as to where these two lines go. if someone could take a look on their lude and let me know that would be great, cause i cant seem to find anyone around me with a prelude. ok thanks for the help. here is a pic. its the two lines circled in red and should be right behind the intake manifold!

People ask this question once a week at least it seems so searching would help you, but the big one is the fuel line and the small one is the vent line. It will vent gas vapors into the engine bay if you leave it, so what I would do is cut it off near the rear wheels so it vents there.

it had a rip in it and i replaced it and i needed a piece of hose for something else so i just cut it off that.

i honestly tried searching but i didnt know what exactly to search for, and came up up with nothing. so just to idiot proof this for myself i should cut them BOTH near the rear wheels correct?

I would not continue working on your car any further at this point.

ok... then where does that fuel line connect to? because i already cut the fuel line under the car to run the ss line thats going to the fuel rail? where would this second fuel line go to?

i thought there was only two fuel lines, one leading to the fuel rail, and a return line from the fpr.

i cut the fuel line that goes to the fuel filter to run an ss line to an inline fuel filter then to the fuel rail. so what is that other fuel line for then?

You never mentioned you are runing another seperate fuel line... Just get rid of the one you aren't using.

im not running another seperate fuel line. im so confused!

my understanding of how the fuel system worked was: you have one line going from the tank to the fuel filter and then from the fuel filter to the fuel rail bonjo bolt, that being the feed line. then you have a second line going from the fpr back to the tank as the return line. and one fuel vapor line going to the charcoal canister.

what i did was i bought a kit from fast-turbo that converts the stock fuel line to an ss line right before the engine bay and that way i could run an inline filter and from filter another ss line to the fuel rail and keeping the return line from the fpr stock.

now what your saying is that there is another 3rd fuel line (that being the big one) that leads somewhere else. now what i dont understand is how could it be a fuel line if it nowhere near the fuel rail. im pretty sure i cut the correct line cause i traced it to the fuel filter.

thats y i dont think that big line could be a fuel line because i dont see where it would connect to? the only thing i see is that its coming from the same place and the fuel line, the return line, and the vapor line from under the engine bay. if there is a 3rd fuel line where does it connect to?

sorry i know im making this sound way more complicated than it really is. but these two lines are about the only thing holding me back from trying to start the car because i dont know whats going to happen if i try to start the car without doing anything to them!
-thanks

OK, now you mention that you have a SS line kit from fast-turbo! Use some common sense and just cut the line where you are supposed to and then attach that SS line.

There is not a 3rd fuel line, you just never said anything about a kit. There are only 2 fuel lines like you said.

Man, you're leaving out all these important details which makes it a really bad idea for you to keep doing this stuff yourself...plus some of your other threads make it look even worse

Good luck.......................................

I already did attach that ss line kit to the line that was going to the fuel filter. is that where i made my mistake was that not the fuel feed line? if that is all correct then that still leaved me without knowing what the hell that big line is on the back of my engine bay. cause i dont see how it can be a fuel line?

I'm really not as bad at this as you think i am. I did my own swap, My own turbo install, timing belt, all of that. its just this little **** that gets to me. i know some of my other threads sound stupid but its the stuff i never did before, or never had happen.

All ive been trying to find out is what to do with that ******* line! that is the only thing getting in my way now! can u just do me a favor and look on ur prelude and see where the hell it connects to.

I may be wrong but that line looks like the fuel line that attaches to the fuel rail. Does it smell like gas? Lol maybe that will hint you... Next time I would take a lot of pictures before the swap, if you dont get an answer tonight I will post some pics for you.

from what i understand it cant be a fuel line cause it would be on the wrong side of the fuel rail

it definitely doesn't go to the fuel rail. the big line goes down into what i guess is the charcol canister and then a smaller line comes out of that and goes into another object on the firewall.

the small line goes straight to the other small object on the firewall.

i wish my phone could take clear enough pictures so i could show you what i mean. but it does not go anywhere near the fuel rail for sure. i'm guessing its like some sort of evap system and is emissions related

ok so i double checked this on another totaly stock prelude.

the big fat one runs strait to the charcoal canister and the little one runs to this lttle thing on the right of the canister that also looks like it has something to do with emmisions i'll post up a pic of it tommaorw to make sure its not important.

what im gonna do with the lines for now is run hosses from them to the bottom on the engine bay so they vent to the bottom, and then eventually cut em off somewhere near the rear wheels.

Not really....especially the fuel filter location, way different. On a 4th gen that hard line would go right to the fuel filter.
