Default Building 99 prelude

Hello, I am currently in the US Army, at Camp Taji Iraq. I will be coming back to the states in January for leave. At that time I would like to start building my 99 Prelude. Here's the set up I would like to have. All engine car, with aprox 300hp/tq to run on 93 oct. Would it be best to build the engine I have, or get a larger one and mod that? I have a buget af about $8000, but that is flexable.lol Also, what kind of 1/4 mile times can I look for with 300hp/tq? This is my first shot at the "import" build. I have always worked with trucks/muscle cars in the past. Thanks for any advice.

Haha, get ready for a shock if your coming from muscle cars! Start by reading the Prelude forum FAQs.

Boost and Nitrous and Co2! Throw in a Supercharger just to be sure!
Hahahaha!!!

In all honesty though....if youre looking for a nice setup I suggest a mild engine build with Nitrous. I went 13.3@267whp with Nitrous on a stock engine with Cams.
I hope you don't have to worry about emissions where you live.....

open your wallet to anthony (precisionsh23a) and he will build you a 300hp motor.

your looking at over 10 grand just into the motor.

300hp is not a common occurence. I only know of one motor that actually made 300whp to the wheels and many dont believe he really made 300whp (fooling the dyno).

beyond that, 300hp on pump gas is gonna be damn near impossible.

do your research. Dont just jump into the game and waste your money on a bunch of parts that dont work together.

your proposed goal is going to take alot of time and alot of money and many custom parts.
