Default d16y8 or b18b1 into a 92 CX DD?

How easy is it to drop a d16y8 into a 92 cx? I have an LS motor/tranny for sale and a guy said he will trade me his d16y8 for my motor/tranny w/o axles/mounts/linkage. I'm either putting the LS into it (will need another $400-500) or the d16y8 if the mounts are the same.

Is the ecu the only difference?

d16y8 are obd2 motors, different ecu, different motor mounts, id stick with the ls, nice and torquey in a 92 cx, got one in myself

axles and linkages are also different
