Help!!! Spark plug socket is stuck

Default Help!!! Spark plug socket is stuck

so i snapped the ratchet extention along with the spark plug socket in my motor.. how do i get it out?? i tried all day yesterday with a long needle nose pliers and no luck.. im so pissed.. any info would be great guys thanx

Try getting some JB Weld and re attaching the broken pieces of the extension back together until it hardens enough to pull out the socket along with the extension. I'm just thinking of what I would try off the top of my head.

go get an expendable magnet and pull it out with that

will the magnet be strong enough?? i tried with a needle nose and it wouldnt come loose

WOW, that's a new one on me, I'm 53 y/o.

Short of pulling the valve cover and tearing the tube apart I can't think of anything.

Lots of questions but they all begin with why...


I'm not even sure an easy out could work.

take a pic of what it looks like? thats very odd a extension would break, find something to wigle it around beisdes pliers..

I wasn't going to go there, but how much did you spend for that tool kit at the dollar store.

my car was misfiring so i decide to check the gap on the plugs to see if they were closed.. when i tried to take the out they were tight as can be.. like some one torque that **** down ( dont know how that happened).. i manage to get 3 plugs out but the last one snapped on me.. and yes i happen to use a cheap extension from autozone.. i didnt have my craftsmen with me at the time.. im stuck dont know what to do..

wow man....ive never heard of this happening before either....id go tell autozone that their **** broke and they need to do something about it....by the way...what company is the extension.....but still man I dont see how the hell you snapped an extension trying to loosen a spark plug
