starter or short ?
i seem to be blowing the 60 a fuse to the fuse box in the engine bay, umm the one where all the power comes in, from the starter.
i have putt 1000 miles on this swap so far, and i went to school, came come parked it, went to start it this morning and nothing, put a new fuse in just incase it was a fluke, only blows when i turn car over. does not blow untill i turn it over.
thus it might be the starter????
help!!! went through all wires battery is in the back, check all wires. no grounds. or shorts.

Hard to say...fuses are there to protect from overload, not bad starters...is it the right starter for the car? It seems you may have a short or bad connection/wire. The starter wire doesn't just run under the hood, ya know? It's under the dash as well, might wanna check there. It's at the key cylinder and then runs to the fuse box and under the hood and to the starter.
but i dont understand how something that has been under the dash for how many years could just go bad, from sittin in the drive way. hmmmm. yes its the right starter. pulled the runnin motor out of my db8. all and all.
the 60amp fuse is for the POSITIVE wire on the battery, it hooks up to the starter and ALTERNATOR. i would check the alternator to see if the positive (covered by a rubber shield) is touching ground, check to see if you starter positive wire is covered by those rubber gaurds so it wont short circuit with a ground
wAAAIt okay,
i got my + from batt going to starter, then a + going from starter to 60 amp
then the alt. going to the + beside the 60 amp. this wrong ?

It happened to me and my alternator had shorted out. Everytime I spun the motor over it would ground out. Do you have a volt ohm meter? Check for continuity from ground to the terminal on the alternator. If there is, The alternator or voltage regulator is bad.

what wires bad, or touching?
how could the alternator being bad cause the fuse to blow ?
so could I unplug the alternator, and try to start it ? it should start right.. ?

moved some wires around, unplugged all alternator compontents.
then started it. shut it off. pluged alternator back in, clean the green plug that usually get corroded, started up. everything is all good. thanx for the help everyone.
