I just installed a new header cat and exhaust, and its been about a week since its been installed...as soon as vtec kicks in, this smell comes about and the higher the rpms go i notice that lots of black smoke comes out and the smell gets terribly worse, any ideas?

 

anyone?

 

any info would help, i'm going on a long roadtrip to florida so i just want to get an idea of what i would need to do before i leave, thanks guys

 

sounds like an exhaust leak.....

I had a fricken plastic bag (Thick 50 gallon black bag) get caught on my cat/ B pipe, and fucken melt on. It stunk for about 4-5 weeks.

 

yeah sometimes it has that rotten egg smell

 

Black smoke means you're running rich.

 

thats what i was thinking, is therea solution to lean it out alittle so its not smoky?

 

anything?

 

possibly an adjustable fpr might work...
