Default JDM Recaro Owners, need help NOW!

Hey guys,

I am installing my newly aquired JDM Recaros, they sit very close to the center console... So much that the adjuster **** to adjust the back part of the seat is touching... Is this how they normally sit? Pics would be great!

JDM console is the answer, but you knew that already.

Didn't you tell someone yesterday who had the same problem that your seats were fine with the USDM console?

there's a local guy with a ITR that swapped the drivers side to the passenger side and vice versa so he could keep the arm rest. not exactly sure if he swapped the rails or what not.

you can do what i did when i first got my recaros....i switched the rails so that i was using the passenger side seat. Note that the JDM recaros will have the seatbelt sensor on the passenger side because the Japanese sit on the right side. This way you can keep the recaros and the center console.... the type-r's in japan have the ***** facing inward which is why they have no armrest. But actually I don't know why ur ***** would be hitting the armrest....i have my armrest in and i have switched back the seats so that the ***** face inward...i have found no problem with it...i can still turn the **** fairly easily. maybe you misaligned the seats? Either way Good Luck Chris!! I hope you got hte black jdm recaros......then ur interior wilkl look like mine...except u have all dem other spoon goodies

Chris,

This is what I did. I like the way the USDM armrest feels/looks.... so I chose to use the pasenger seat on the drivers side, and the drivers side on the passengers side. Worked fine, and the ***** are accessable on the outside portion of the seats. Its also kind of cool, because the ***** say Recaro, and you could see that when you are getting into the car. Not a big deal, hehe, but kinda cool.

Are they the yellow Recaros you got??

Jon

hehehe.. I had to jump on them, they are absolutely beautiful... I'm too worried, that I'll wear em down! But I guess once I wear down the driver's seat, I'll just switch them around.
