Default Gsi vtec

hey guys i have a b18b2 and at around 4400rpm i get a sudden change in tone and a boost of power that throws u in ur seat it sounds like vtec but its not a vtec.......does anyone know what that is?

no all my friends have hondas with vtec and they said that it has more go in the top end of the range rpm than theres

What modifications do you have? You sure it isn't an LS/VTEC (GSi/VTEC) with a VTEC head?

4400rpm is where a gsr vtec should be engaging but it sure isnt a boost of power thatll throw you back in your seat. Do your friends have a dohc or sohc vtec?

Do you have any mods?

on a stock gsr thats where it should be

Yup. Secondaries open up around 6800 rpms if I can remember my GSR correctly.

Yeah..... your Probably thinking about the secondary butterflies around 6 grand or whatever the hell it is.

Yeh im not sure man they have b16a 's and b18c1 's they are hondaholics no it doesnt have a vtec head just not sure at all i have i/h/e on my gsi

i feel a rush of power at around 4200 on my LS, same as your "GSI" i assume. is it internally stock and are you sure its not a vtec head.

Sounds to me from the engine code as an LS, but with a different name.

Integra GSi = Integra LS for the AUDM/NZDM market.
