Replaced fuel pump after car sat, will not idle correctly
i replaced a fuel pump in a 88 crx hf that had sat for a year. it starts but will not idle and is running on two cylinders. it sounds less meaner then a lawn mower. i pulled the spark plugs out and the two cylinders on the left side are not getting fuel. if i leave them two spark plugs completely out then the car idles fine and it seems to run better. dont ask y i did this, long story. any help appreciated.
Replaced the filters too?
Take out the fuel rail, and use some zip-ties to keep the injectors in the fuel rail.
Crank the car, and see if the injectors actually fire.
If they don't, it's merely a matter of replacing them, or having them cleaned. ($20 bucks a piece to clean)
Sounds scary, but the rail is only held on by 3 bolts, and the injectors you can just take out by hand.
