Oil Pan Drain Bolt Size thread for RE Threading..
Today I went to change my oil at a local oil place where I always get my oil change done..
they striped my oil pan threads fuckasshats. they blamed it on me. I figured its not worth to fight with this idiots. they are trying to charge me 50 bucks to get it rethreaded..
anyways you guys know what size is the thread hole. I will rethread it myself and if that doesn't work I will just fucken get a new oil pan when I change out the headers in upcomming summer.
Or I might just get a used oil pan and change my oil myself from now onwards. Another reason to do your oil change yourself grab a bear and

I believe it should be 14mm X 1.5mm pitch..
Some auto parts stores sell something called
"over-sized" plugs which are slightly larger than standard size..

Yeppers..I found an old d-series pan and ran a tap through it..
I simply hate oil change monkeys...
I can't understand how they manage to strip out
something that simple..
Sometimes, just the thread on the plug itself strips and you can tap
the pan and replace the plug..
Also, you can look into something called a "piggy-back" plug..
It threads in place of the drain plug and has a removeable cap
in the end..
Sometimes teflon tape can make up for lost material as well..
Good Luck..

Also make sure it still has a copper washer/gasket on the plug..
That puts just enough pressure on the threads to keep it from leaking..
If all else fails J-B Weld or Permatex makes a stripped thread repair
product which is similar to loc-tite..
I have told my boss more times than I care to think about not
to use quick-lubes but he refuses to listen...
Some men you just can't reach..

I changed the copper gasket and used some teflon tape problem solved.
now I have to take it to the place where the suck the oil out with the vaccum machine.
thanks for all the help!
