Default quick questions about cat back between 96-99 gsr & 2000-01 gsr

would a cat back on a 96-99 gsr fit 2000-01 gsr....cuz on this site someone show me http://www.raceinspired.com/sh...ID=15 they claim that from 94-99 cat back is different......from my understanding from 96-01 we are obd2 and the cat is the same so why would it be different?

Not positive about that question, curious myself. Although the cat is the same 96+, the exhaust path through the car may be different, but I wouldn't think so.

94-99 gsr header is shorter then the 00-01 so the catback is probably longer

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by sinfulDA8 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">type R, LS and 00-01 GSR header length is all the same..

You are correct. The primary 02 sensor on the 94-99 GSR is also in the cat, not the collector like the rest.

I have a LS 3" exhaust on my 96 GSR and the cat had to be extended about 5".
