F*ckin hillbillies..........that had to have been some haggered sh*t.

Edit: Just watched it again...that's pretty rediculous. That's a ladder bar setup and on both sides the entire plate that mounts to the axle just lets go clean. That must have been some poor *** no penetration MIG welds.

Ha ha !!

just having a look at his face, he may probably have those trac bar welded in his garage with a Fluxcore.
he does look at the end result of his welding job with an un-surprised face, that scares me...

neway was fun to look at !

cheer !

I bet he forgot to prep the surface. JB weld doesn't like dirty metal

There's really no reason a good flux-core weld wouldnt hold up to that, so that comment was void.

why all the ripping on the MIG and flux core? They hold up just as good if not better than a TIG bead if the weldor knows what he/she is doing. In that example, they probably welded too thick of metal with too cold of a weld or the machine wasn't able to handle the thickness of the metal welded. Don't blame the weld process for the dummy holding the torch.

Dippy...noone is ripping on MIG welding, at least I wasn't...I'm ripping on the dumb sh*t that couldn't weld and could've died.

Who has underminded the strength of a MIG weld? MIG welds hold f*ckin submarines together, they can certainly hold that dudes dinky ladder bar setup.

Now, where you extract MIG better than TIG and all that crap from is beyond me. Each welding process has it's ideal applications, and all have proven themselves in this world to be strong.

haha I was going to say the same thing... I don't know if it was actually a weld or not, some of those 4 link kits use U bolts around the axle tubes... but either way he got out of the car like he almost expected it to happen haha.

It did kind of sound like you were talking down to MIG welding.. maybe because you specified what type of welding you think was used.
you have to admit...when you read it, it seems like MIG is a key word to that sentence.

"That must have been some poor *** no penetration MIG welds."

oh well. we know now that it wasnt like that.

that's how I took it as well.

I have both a MIG and a TIG and I choose to MIG when I'm not working with stainless or aluminum because it holds great if you know how to set up amperage and wire speed and it's a quick process.
