obd0 harness to unmolested obd0 harness
Ok so here is what I mean. I picked up a b16 hatch for cheap to fix up for my winter beater. I knew the engine bay was a mess before but I just realized how bad it was today. Then I picked up the carpet and saw a really hacked up ecu harness. I mean the car runs fine with no codes, but it looks like total **** and I could see it causing me trouble in the future.
Its a 89 DX hatch with a obd0 b16 in it from a xsi teg. What I want to do is replace the engine harness AND the harness plugs that are in the bay on the strut towers that go to the ecu with a stock 89 dx harness and wire that over for the b16 cleanly. I don't want to do a tuck.
Does the ecu harness tie into the dash harness at all? Will it be plug and play or will I have to do some repining?

mine was the same way. Pulled back the carpet and i saw a rats nest of wires.
Fix for me was a nice sodering iron, heat srink and a few hrs

Yeah replacing the harness isnt fun (i am in the process of doing it in my '90 hatch dx right now) but replacing it isnt nearly as hard as finding a stock interior harness.

I just got done doing it and it's not to bad of a jop just takes a lil patience. You dont' have to get the whole interior harness or a dash harness. Just the harness that runs along the bottom of the firewall inside the car. It plugs into the rest of the interior stuff over on the driver side. The worst part was getting it unclipped from the fire wall and getting all teh headlight headlight and marker light plugs through the hole. Also I have a harness from a 90 STD 5 speed car if your interested.
