I assumed this would go in this forum since it's not really tech. Anyway, what is the B16A2 valve cover coated with? It doesn't seem like paint. I was wondering cause while it's off of the car I wanted to clean it thoroughly and get it ready to compliment a polished aluminum plug cover that's coming to me, and wasn't sure if I could use Mother's plastic protectant on it. If not, is there any product that can blacken it up without harming it?
