Car bogs when low RPM. Anyone knows why?
So I did this a few times and it felt like my car is misfiring. I'd switch to 2nd,3rd, or 4th gear on low rpm, and it wouldn't accelerate smoothly but bogs until at least higher rpm. It happens if you push the pedal to the medal but if you gradually speed up it doesnt happen. Does anyone know? could it be spark plugs? It hasnt been that long since I change the spark plugs. or something with the fuel. Just put it this way. Drive off in first gear and switch to 2nd gear right away and then step on the gas all the way down. Thats when that bogging happens. It seems like it accelerates then stops then accelerates again even while the gas pedal is down. Any help be cool. thanks
when im just cruising along, and its in 3rd or 4th gear in the low rpms, ill jam the pedal, just cuz, and it'll start to speed up but while it speeds up, it sounds like it just cuts out, almost like the engine shuts off for like half a second, and makes little putts, does anyone know why?
Check your grounds mine did that and it was the ground strap for the map
sensor. good luck
thanks but where would the ground strap be located and how exactly can this cause bogging? just wondering cause i dont know what the heck thats going on..
The ground strap for the map is on the firewall right by the sensor.
Don't know why it made it bog but when I cleaned it and tightened it the bog whent
away.
