Default 2nd oil change

I have a 07 civic lx, and now i know when it needed the first oil change. I was surpose to go to 5k to let the special mixture kick in that was back in the beginning of june. My car now is only at 7300k and when i had a free oil change at honda the sticker said either 9200k or in sept. And my oil life is still at 50%. Should i have to worry about it yet or change it. By the way i rarly drive it usually at work, and i don't drive it hard.

Just because you dont drive your car, doesnt mean you dont have to change the oil. You should of got it changed at either the mileage listed on the sticker, or the date listed, I usually go by whatever comes first(the date), because I rarely get 2000 miles to an oil change, and thats with synthetic.

read the owners manual - i dont have mine with me at the moment ( im to tired to walk down to my car and get it ) but it says somewhere in there about changing it once every year if you dont drive over 5000 miles per year... dont hold me to that its been a while since ive read the thing...

you should be fine... id wait till the service light comes on... if you dont drive it hard its not hurting anything. just waisting money and oil

i'd rather be safe then sorry, everywhere you go it says change your oil every 3k or 3 months which ever comes first. That being said it doesnt matter if you drive the car hard or smooth change the oil what you got to loose if you change it slightly earlier? look at it this way, your gonna have to change it and its not gonna cost much diffrent then it currently does, on the other hand dont change it early and expect problems to occur (not common but could occur) the choice is up to you but i like almost everyone says change it asap.

i would never change my oil every 10k miles. that's way too much. i look at my oil after only 2k and it already looks pretty dark. most i'll go is 3k.

The maintenance minder puts my oil life at around 5K miles give or take a couple hundred.
