hood clearance

Default hood clearance

Dropped my ls\v-tec in and engine to high. any tips for shutting my hood.

Are you sure the motor is in properly? Ive never heard of that being an issue with B-series. Are you using the stock hood or an aftermarket, such as a carbon fiber one?

well i have two i have a stock one and i have a cervinis ss hood. i haven't tried to shut the hood yet cause im not done with it but i put a pipe across fender to fender and its not flush.

check your motor mounts and back bracket did you use a gsr rear bracket?
what head did you use?

Well, when you do get done, An OEM hood should not have a problem closing over any 92-00 civic with any b18. Only issues ive seen are with H22's, or Aftermarket hoods. For this LS/V build, what head did you put on?

i had hood clearence problems with my stock gsr in my eh2, and the only problem was my hood latch was set too low. got a wrench, adjusted the 2 bolts, and punched the dents back in from my hood smashing my valve cover, and i was good to go. never had a problem with it since then

around here every one ither spaces up the rear in between the hinges in hood with washers or spacers........or they cut a piece out of the hood just in the lower support braces and it dosent seeem to change the rigidity in the hood
