Default Did a lot of work on the beater crx...89 SI w/ B16

Recently got this car for a winter beater to keep the GTO garaged for the winter.
Here are a few of the GTO

Anyway Here are some of the CRX.

First I did a batt box...

Before...

After...

Heater controls

Before...

After...now they actually work

Wiring

Before...

After. I am really proud of this. I pulled about 25 ft of wire out of this car...crap that went no where. Also there were many short lengths of wire spliced together all through the car. I got rid of that and made long runs. Loomed everything up. I also mounted the mas sensor to the firewall...before it was dangling. Cut out about 12" of extra fuel line. Got rid of the blue hose going from intake to manifold.

I pulled the sunroof out in an attempt to make it functional...or at least get it to close all the way. It seemed too far gone to make functional so now at least it is closed and sealed.

And now on to the trim work.

Before...

After...

It still needs a lot of TLC but it is coming along nicely.

I also got the front blinkers functional...prior owner had cut off some of the wiring. Got the dome light working, and a few other misc things.

Feedback welcome.

No rust around the fenders or anything. Body and frame seems to be pretty straight. 28XXXX miles on the clock. It was a trade and the way it worked out I do not have much money at all in it. Let's just say I could sell the wheels and the heater controls and basically have a free car Other than the parts and stuff I have put in it so far.

Fanboy nothing, what isn't to love about an all aluminum 346 cubes with 6-bolts holdin the crank on? I love Gen III stuff. Best SBC ever made by far (excluding the ls7 cause yea.... that thing kicks ***).

The vaux tails make the *** of that car look SO much better. props on both cars

I have actually toyed with the idea of blacking out the headlights and tails. We shall see what happens.

Well I will give you a hint...

The car that I am NOT making a $500/ month payment on is more fun to drive.

Looking good, Shane. I'll get you some pics of the parts I have tonight after all the crazy stuff is overwith (closing on house this afternoon). Can't remember if you said you already had a cargo cover or not but I do have one of those up in the rafters, too. I'll go around the shop and see what other extra rex stuff I have.
