Starting car crunch?

Starting car crunch?

Every now and then when i started my car there seems to be like a loud crunch type noise. coming from the driver side? It dosent happen every time but enough times to be annoying. any one know what it could possibly be? worth taking into the dealer?

is your a/c turned on? could be the clutch catching on the compressor. mine does that too... very annoying. i've learned to turn it off when I shut r' down.
