Hi I have a 1995 del sol vtec (b16a3 motor) it has 130k on it and now its burning oil.. first i noticed it burned oil only in vtec but recently i noticed its burning oil even when shifting at 3k ! I never see any blue smoke etc.. My question is what would the problem be ? valve seals ? I use castrol oil and honda fillter always change oil at 3k what is a way to check what the problem is 100% ?

 

If you're not leaking any oil (valve cover, oil pan, crank seals, distributor seal, etc), then you will need to do a leakdown test to verify seals, rings etc.

Sorry this might sound dumb but what does a leakdown test consist of ?
