I can tell you this. I drive normally, not like an animal. My 99 SI just got 350 miles on 10.7 gallons of plus unleaded which equals about 32.7 mpgs. Car is bone stock , stock exhaust etc. This is mixed city/highway 80 mph driving shifting at 3600 rpms in 1st and 2nd gears
with an SI motor your lookin at about 30-34 highway and 22-30 city depending on how hard you drive it. i had an ex that i beat the crap out of and i always got atleast 26mpg even when driving 95 on the highway.
i'd say an average of about 28mpg though.

That's the most accurate answer. Having had a B16A in an 93 hatch, it's around what I got. I drove it pretty hard, though. I still would be appalled if i got 27...lol that would mean I really beat on it. 30s was typical. This is in the suburbs...so not quite city, not quite highway.
If you keep your highway speeds at around 70-75, you can expect around 30+ mpg.

on my b16 swap, im getting 27mpg driving 70-75mpg shifting at 3500 1st 2nd and 3rd.....3/4 is high way....i have a CEL for secondary O2 cause its not plugged in i dont know if that matters.....im also on a rebuilt motor.. i dont know if that matters =/
sorry boys, but im in canada so my units are off. But in my 93 cx hatch with a b16a2 (us si/can sir) with a jdm GSR tranny (3500 rpm on the highway at 110 km/h) and i get about 500 km to a tank of 91 octane if im driving it hard (shifting ~8000rpm in first and second). That is 95% highway miles as well. I get around 600km to a tank driving it normal. Im hoping i can bring my MPG way up when i put an LS 5th gear in my gsr tranny this year, as i drive close to 200 km a day highway.
