Can anybody help me plan my first car?
I'm currently 16 and I'll be working this winter so I can buy my first car. By the time I' m done working, I should have $5,000 saved. I've already decided on getting a 1992-2000 model, but I'm still not sure about what I should spend the money on, as in car parts. My uncle has an RX-7, and my dads friend owns a mechanic shop next door to his business, so I'm sure that I can get help with putting everything together, but I need help from people who have modified such cars before to help me pick out parts.

Figure out what you want to do with the car. Drag, AutoX/Road Race, Show Car whatever.
Decide what YOU LIKE. Make a list of mods based on your goal and stick to it

Look at photos. Read up on modifications. Decide what model to buy based on what you can afford, your wants and your needs. Since this will be a first car, remember it will probably be a daily, so base mods on that idea.
Figure out what you're willing to spend for individual mods. Purchase mods. Put on car / have installed on car.
Be happy for a minute and then go back to wanting more done.
Continue modding car.
Car is never finished.
Read Honda-Tech. Hear other people talk about being into Hondas.
Car gets stolen or has a close call.
Continued modding car, reading and socializing.
Repeat until you become jaded with the scene and tired of thieves.
Sell car. Get something else that you tell your self is better.
Then either continue posting here and telling everyone else on Honda-Tech who still drives a Honda how they could do so much better or whine about how you miss your Honda.
