Default Name that vibration?

My camry, (I know, not a honda) has developed a strange vibration at speed in the front end. The car is a 99 with 120,000 miles on it, is accident free, and has strut style front suspension. The vibration is pretty prominent at speeds about 60. It is consistent and it can be felt throughout the entire car, but it is never violent. It has been going on, and staying consistent in it's shakiness, for about 2,000 miles now. The car doesn't pull to either side, but when the wheel is turned at high speed, say during a shallow bend on the highway, the vibration lessens slightly. Before I take it to have it checked out, I was wondering if anyone here had any idea of what it could be?

It is likely that you have a wheel out of balance.

Have your wheels re-balanced.

I see, do wheels easily go out of balance like this?

They do as the tires wear.

As mentioned, you may have a different problem such as a bad inner CV joint on one of your axles.

Does the vibration feel as if it's coming from the front (i.e., you can feel it through the steering wheel) or from the rear (you can feel it through the seat of your pants)? Does it happen when accelerating, decelerating, or both? One way to try and isolate the problem is to rotate tires front to rear, and see if the vibration follows the tires that you rotated.

It definitely feels like it is coming from the front, and I believe it is more related to the speed I am traveling at and not whether I am accelerating or braking. Can I tell if a cv joint is bad from looks, or would I have to remove the boot covering it?

sounds like a wheel is bent or out of balanced. i had similar symptoms on my car.

it would develop a vibration at speed and on the highway when you made slight turns it would go away.

I checked the wheel, and all the weights on are still on it. Do believe it could still have gone out of balance?

it dont matter if the weights are still on it. if theres alot of milage on the wheels the tires wear as they wear and change the wheels go out of balance.
