Werd, need far more details. Plus know your states laws about registering out of state salvage titled vehicles. NY is a PITA.

I'd be curious about the pulling to the right mentioned in the for sale post. I'd want the seller to have an alignment done first, supply a printout of the results, and just add the cost of the alignment to the asking price if need be.

yeah that worried me at first but he said he got the alignment fix and it drives strait now

With only so many out thar, it could take a while (if ever) to find the right one without driving/flying a ways to get it. My advice would be to accept and even look forward to a road trip. If the title doesn't bug and the price is right, go for it.
2000 miles is nothing for the lifetime of joy, you will get. LOL
Am in Canada and am looking to get a R from the states.
I would get very detailed pics of every inch of the car before going. Especially pictures of the 2 main chassis rails in the engine bay. If the car got hit hard in the front you'll know for sure
