mini me turbo??
i just want to know from people who had a turbo mini me how reliable was it cause people are telling me not to do it cause its not reliable let me know what you experienced thanks in advance .
it's all in the tune... a buddy of mine ran 286 whp on stock internal y7 for a year... he has since dropped the boost and only makes 202 now he's going strong 2 1/2 years so it's all in the tune i believe

Yeah I think 186 whp sounds more correct..

no...it wont be reliable at all. with a mini-me, your compression ratio is alot higher than stock. thats why they are so popular.....they jump from around 8.5:1 to about 10.5:1 and sometimes even higher. once you turbo that, bye-bye reliability. you could if you want....but if it was me i would stay away from that. good luck and keep us updated.

higher than stock compression and boost can STILL BE RELIABLE. You just need to think and be reasonable. You will probably be sticking w/ a smaller turbo and low boost. Similar specs they'd be supplying you with in a Greddy turbo kit for example. not to mention a good tune
