about $100-150 for a used tranny, some give them away!

Tranny swaps are easy, takes me less than 3 hours, and I don't have a frame lift!

That would also give you the opportunity to replace the DX tranny with one from a 92-95 Civic Si/EX or a Del Sol Si. This would give you a tighter gear ratio and just a lot more fun to drive! You're looking at the average price of $150-$300 for a used tranny (around my area that is).

up, but use 4 jack stands.

Jack the front up and set the stands on lowest setting. The jack the rear up as high as possible and insert stands. Now jack the front up as high as possible and raise the front stands.
