Default Recaro Question!

Sup everyone--I want to get some reclinable Recaros for my EM1, but I'm a pretty big guy. I'm 6'3, 210 lbs, and when I sat in some JDM DC5's, I was pretty much sitting on TOP of the bolsters, not in between the bolsters.

**The issue is not that I'm a fat bastid, but that I kinda got a big butt, so for the JDM's, the bolsters are too narrow. **

Are the Speeds a little wider than the JDMs? And is there a Recaro model made for the bigger dudes? Thanks for the help.

**I've got a 36 inch waist BTW, and I like long walks on the beach..."** LOL

I dont know about recaros but memfab offers them as well as corbeau?

I think people should tell you their waste size since that is the part you are having trouble with.

i'm 6'6 240 with a 36. Im curious too. I do know that corbeau makes practically all their seats in large sizes..and theyre pretty inexpensive(depending on what you add to them).

Yeah, I've heard the same, but honestly I think that Corbeau are pretty cheap & ugly looking...

I've heard that the USDM Recaro Speeds are bigger for us Amercian folk, but I wanted to know if there are some bigger guys in here that are comfortable in a particular model of Recaros.

Shop at the Corbeau Seat Store for the Big and Tall!

No, but seriously, check corbeau. They've got great quality.

Well if you search for old memfab posts there is one or two where they posted how big they were and if they fit or not and if you find someone similar in size to you then the sizes of the setas are on their site. You can then just ask one of the guys in the crew to give you some measurements.

I used to sell Corbeau seats at my previous job, i have sold many sets of the widened versions, everyone seems to love them and be able to fit in them with no problems. As far as quality, i agree with Blackout they do have great quality.. check out the Corbeau CR4s i believe, those were my most popular seller.
I personally have a set of USDM Recaro speeds im 5'8 190 34 waist and i fit in them fine.
Hope this helps.

I would have to belive the american version of the recaros would be bigger. We tend to be a tad bit larger here in the states compared to tyhr people in Japan.I dont mean that in any racist way we just like to eat and watch footaball a bit more over here.

JDM ITR Recaros are recaro SR3's and the US Recaros are Recaro SRD.

From what I have been told the SRD are indeed a bit bigger than the SR3.

I don't know how they relate to del sol seats, but I'm 6'2" and 215 lbs and I fit snugly, but not uncomfortably in my sol seats.
