how can u tell if your recaros are real?
im curious, because ive never seen the pattern ive got on my recaros. i'm starting to think they are fake, but how can i tell for sure? any distintive ways? when i removed them, i remember seeing a tag with a SRD, but i just wanted to see if there are any othe methods. a friend of mine said the real ones are fire retardent, but i dont feel like trying to set my seats on fire... any ideas? thanks

Same here, I don't know how to describe it, but I can tell. I've been in both SRDs and SRIIs and the quality is excellent. I hope someone can answer your question clearly.

my friend has the same recaros in his E30. That is a legit pattern, the guy he bought the car from bought nothing from the best and from reliable sources. So, if you are worried about not having seen the pattern before, it is definately a pattern recaro has used before.

not raggin on you but recaros are one thing your NOT paying for just the name...
they are FAR superior to other seats... not just in build quality but saftey and finishing...
sit in a pair of DAD racing seats then a pair of recaro's and tell me there isn't a difference....
I sat in my first pair of recaros at lime rock when I was 7... I would NOT get out of them... tried to get my dad to buy one for his car so I could sit in it forever... needless to say he wouldn't and I still don't have any..

yea, the seats are awesome, but i just wanted some reasurance. this car might be the one from jdmhondaparts, i just bought it off some guy that said he just got it from some guy about a month earlier... when i purchased the car, there was a jdmhondaparts sticker on it, and just left it.. ive only changed a few things on it since.. thanks for the help guys!

my Recaro Sports came with a funky pattern also. its all black now.
Keep the pattern ones though. The red and blacks are played out.

i think i do have the one from jdmhondaparts.com. my engine bay is black! its a dohc. anyone happen to know what mods the jdmhondaparts car had? i was told i have ctr pistons, but i duno how i can tell without pulling the head
