s2000 hard top
how much is it?? and are they available in states? if i decide to go with s2000, i would definitly go hard top... im just not into top down.... im dark enough.... and if i wanted the wind all over my face i would get a bike...
List price is $2995 but you can get it cheaper from a variety of sources. H & A Accessories has them for $2390 right now http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000.html .
did u mention it's $5k
Id buy it over the OE since it A looks better IMO because it pulls back and B serves a higher Aero purpose when used with the rear wing.
man, you have to have some serious cash to get a mugen one, that's why i stuck with the oem one. the honda hardtop looks so awesome, i think you should get it if you get an S2000. there are a lot of guys out there that just keep the soft top, but they don't put it down. you might want to try doing that for a couple months before you get a hardtop (remember, there's no sunroof on the hardtop).

I really don't understand why people buy a convertible and a hard top, these two things are contradicting themselves. First when you buy a convertible, a big chunk of the money you pay go towards the convertible, then you pay another 2000-3000 to give it a hard top. So, you are paying 7000-9000 more to defeat the whole purpose.

the car comes only in a covertible. if the car came with the option of a hardtop or softop, i think there would be a lot of people (like myself and many others i know of) that would buy the hardtop version. since the car doesn't come in a hardtop from honda, we buy the hardtop seperately. since we buy it seperately, we're paying $2500, and not $7000-$9000.

I got a hard top for my s2k cos where i live in Australia, winter is pretty cold. I paid $5500 (Australian dollars) which is about $2300 or so in US dollars. I reckon it loks pretty good and there is so much more visability through the rear window than the soft top. Also it's not that heavy, mine weighs 19kg (about 38-40lbs). If you live in a place where it is cold in the winter, you should definitely get a hard top.
hopefully someone will design a hartop with sunroof...
the only reason imma go with s2000 is because it'll take forever for me to afford a NSX.. i know early years are okay price but the hassle of goin through maintenance stuff prolly wont be worth it for me.... may be when i retire, that's when ill find time for it.. but for now.. i just want something that will separate me from the general crowd......

There should be some kind of hardtop exchange service between southern and northern hemispheres. They get winter during our summer, so if it wasn't so damn expensive to ship that thing, it could save some money. Like a time share. I realize this is a very stupid idea but oh well.
I think you misinterpreted my point. When you buy the S2K, probably $5000 went towards the convertible, then you pay another $2500 for to get rid of the $5000 convertible investment. It is like paying $7500 for nothing. That's how I interpret it, but of course since S2k doesn't come with hardtop, that leave us no choice.
A they want to be different
B They want to race and some places require a hardtop over the roll bar. Did we mention its more aerodynamic with a hardtop than a rag top down?
C Winter time sucks with a ragtop.
D Buying hte hardtop is cheaper than a new car for the winter

especially points C and D. I also think that the S2000 looks pretty good with a hard top.
