You should try searching about turbo builds on ls motors there are alot of threads previous with all the info you need to know, just a thought. And a civic type r tranny has really short gear ratio so you would be shifting like crazy with a turbo setup. I mean I don't know what you are trying to get out of this? (1/4mi or street car) I dunno.

Stick with the ls they have long gears that I know work good for turbo. If your not touching you internals on your motor you are going to need to save money because it not going to last vary long.

The CTR tranny has a really short gear ratio like the guy said above me. It does have an LSD but its not worth it for a daily. Stick with the ls tranny and install an LSD like my friend. Works wonders!

I liked the GSR gears for turbo apps. LSs still tend to be too long, even with the extra torque. ITRs arent bad, however with the lower redline of the ls engines, I think I'd stick w/ a LS or GSR.
