8mm is the correct size. You must have the hole re-sized.

Do you have to have those pressed in? or can it be done at home?

you have to take the rods and rod bolts to a machine shop and have them machine both for fitment

shows how much you know

Well considering you are asking for bolt sizes then yeah take it to the machine The rod bolts fit without machining, the bore in the rod is the one that needs machining after installation...

Stop it. It's becoming borderline trolling now.

i believe Eugene @ Prostreet Import used slightly larger rod bolts than the stock ones...that's why the rods had to be machined. are you guys just using the ARP stock OEM replacement bolts??

lol it's beyond that point..but joe is cool so he gets a pass.
it's kind of like owning a type r and posting in the ITR forum when half the people there know you..
if you own one and post something it almost doesn't matter what it is..
but if someone who owns a civic or gsr posts in there they get all uptight/skeptical.
but hey, that's just my (as well as a couple others i know) opinion

The 8mm ARP rod bolts are the same used on all B/D series engines except the B18C models. I installed mine at home using a socket and a C-clamp, worked like a charm but was easier with a friend to help hold stuff still while you crank. After that is when you take the reassembled rods (with original caps back on the rods they came off) to have them set back into round again.
