Default How many HT'rs track their bike?

Over the past couple years on this forum I've read some good threads and learned a lot about bikes in general. But lately I've been venturing out to other forums where riders seem to take the sport more seriously. I know that there are some people on here who have tracked their bike, but for the most part threads in this forum are focused on pictures of new bikes, newbs asking really newbish questions, and a lot of off-topic blabber.

If you frequent this forum, I'd like to know your experiences on the track (test days, racing schools, etc.)

I'll start...

My first track day

Oh, and I'm going to Willow Springs next month (November 25th) if anyone is interested. There are still a few spots left

Edit: Here's the link to check out the track day: http://trackdaz.com/ti/trackdaz/index.html

I go to the track as well with the other 2 people here that do. I've done thunderhill mainly but am considering reno. I don't mind the lack of subject in this forum. I come here for the mindless banter and the entertaining ****** that think can out dick me.

I track mine pretty persistently... I have a detailed log of its daily routines and activities. And if I'm not available, I hire a private investigator to keep tabs on it. Gotta make sure it's not up to anything sinister, y'know?

Tracked only once down at VIR. I went down for a local CBR club meet and I borrowed most of the track gear from a fellow rider since I don't have the proper gear to be on the track. But by god was it a thrill...i was a lil' too precautions due to my noob status but none the less it was a blast and Plan to go more often and invest in some track gear...

I want to do a trackday so bad, but there really aren't many options for me besides Barber, and that's still a good ways away.

If "Music City U.S.A" under you screen name is nashville, you can do track days at Nashville Superspeedway. STT (www.sportbiketracktime.com) was there 6 times this year.

I feel pretty lucky to be less than 3 hours away from both Willow Springs and Buttonwillow. Make a trip out to Cali

But back to the topic, let's see some more pictures!

It's a figure of speech, dumbass.

Sometime when people become good at something, they forget they use to ask the same dumb questions.

You should REALLY do Reno. Its cheap (usually about $145 with ZoomZoom...use the discount code: BARF for $15 off or YAMAHA if you have one for $25 off) and I love that track. Really technical, 20+ turns on a 4 mile track.

Heres 2 from my last Infineon trackday.

No more bike trackdays until I get the funds for another bike. In the meanwhile, I'm planning on doing some trackdays in my car

I used to track my streetbike (F3, Superhawk). Then I used to track only a trackbike (GSXR750, KTM450SMR). Now, I'm undecided.

I've been to Streets of Willow, Buttonwillow, Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch (Pahrump), Fontana.

I enjoy Buttonwillow the most because of it's location, layout, and Tita's Pupuseria. Pahrump is my favorite track, except it's more than a one-day trip (and because it's near Vegas, an expensive trip). Fontana is a great facility, but I don't really care for the long-straight...I've got the 210 for that!!

I used to want to get into club racing (WSMC and/or AFM), but I can't seem to find the time or money right now.

Track schools are a great way to try out trackdays, but you'll definitely want some experience under your belt before doing so. That way you'll already have a good feel for your bike's handling and can concentrate on applying and practicing techniques. I have heard great things about CLASS (I took CA Superbike School).
