how exactly...
do you use a FMIC with a roots/twin-screw supercharger? its blowing my mind. I know they were able to use intercoolers on GM S/C vehicles like the GTP but it was more like under the actual blower. Redshift is advertising an FMIC kit for the comptech and jackson s/c guys.
and I quote
"This kit will allow your Comptech or Jackson Racing (Moss Motors) supercharger kit to be intercooled. Includes the RedShift Manifold, Adapter Baseplate, 2.5" Tubing, 8x24x3" Intercooler (rated to 450 hp), Fast Response Intake Air Temperature Sensor, IAT sensor plug and play harness, and all required hardware. Many intercoolers require modification of your front bumper for clearance."

its technically an aftercooler.
here's an example on a cobalt.

yea except if you knew anything about this type of S/C is that rather than pushing air through the throttlebody it pulls air from the throttlebody. so do you recirculate it? gg. go play with your hot wheels.

I wouldn't be so quick to bash them before they release the product. From my limited knowledge (yes, I can admit it's very limited) the way they're going about it makes sense. Since the SI cannot be tuned directly, why not tune an RSX and then use that as a guide on the SI?

I'd love to argue but for some reason all I can think about is wishing I didnt live in florida because i'm pretty sure my home town is getting ready to put down ice at the new rink
no hockey for me this year.
way off topic... but being from minnesota you have to half understand what im talkin about.

and a 2002 at that
also people should be weary about any tuning shop that has no history
hell even those clowns down in florida with All Jap making the turbo kits for the 06+ that everyone jumped on fast
have contacted greddy since they are having issues with the hondata flash tuning
not all that glitters is gold and people need to see BEHIND THE SCENES before they plunk down the $$$$
the only reason i got my comptech Sc was the fact of their history in the tuning field & that the person that was their TEST SUBJECT is a member here
that means alot when you can read how much work is going into something AND you get results.
But don't take my advice
Keep in mind that AEM has something coming out for the 06si that would be beneficial for forced induction
but patience is a virtue... if you want limited tuning you buy an Si
if you want fully blown madness and thats all that matters go buy an rsx.
To beat around the bush with pictures of CAD and how parts will look in XX amount of months and youtube videos zooming on side streets in the rain.... doesn't really get me going & won't get my business.

so far comptech is getting my vote... i ordered the kit in hopes that something either comptech going stage 2 or a tuning solution will become available. I like the numbers ive seen from it even with a shorty header with a cat. I'm going to roll without a cat and see how much of a difference there is

So Comptech is back in business??

X... would you be talking about the AEM F/IC? As far as I know they are working on the software to make it work. the unit itself is working but it only has the ability to control the MAF sensor or the MAP sensor not both. so they needed to add that.

^^ a few months ago this thread came up about comptech bein' back in business
I know LHT modifies JRSC to accept an air to water intercooler sandwiched between the manifold and SC. That makes a little more sense to me than a FMIC on a roots type blower.

Yes. Also keep in mind that AJP wants the Emanage so that might be another options as well.
Even AEM has it slated as a FUTURE RELEASE so it coiuld be 4 yrs before its released BUT at least they don't say 2 months and continue to extend it.
and the CURRENT models have that MAP/MAF function, i'm sure that the future models (civic si) would have both capabilities or it would be pretty much useless.
