Default when I push in the clutch my rpms drop

I have a 96 accord with a 94 H22A swap, and everytime I push in the clutch the rpms drop... sometimes to the point of stalling, does anyone know what could be causing this?

The rpm's are supposed to drop when you push in the clutch because the engine isn't being powered...

but anyways I know what you mean, but are you talking about a fluctuating idle or youre car just idles really low? Check your vacuum lines running to the intake manifold as well as your idle screw if it comes down to it.

that or your clutch may not be fully activating and it just lowers your rpms to the point that it stalls, can you shift when you push in the clutch?

It sounds to me like you have a dirty or bad IACV (idle air control valve).

Search, find info on it, clean it, try again.

Also, does this happen more with the A/C on?

thanks for all the help, in response to some of your questions, I don't drive with the a/c on, and the first poster has al of my symptoms correct, I do have a low idle 6-700 rpms at idle, and after a while the engine does start to fluctuate at idle. I don't have a problem shifting my car into any gear once I am moving, just getting it into 1st from a stop without it staling.

I done a lot of searching on this forum, and read some **** about disconnecting the IACV to reset idle. I've tried this but when I disconnect it the engine dies, not drop to 500 rpm like people posted, does this mean that I need a new one?
