Wiring Overload - Need Help *pic/diagrams*
Im about ready to install everything in my car. Im doing everything at once since I just bought the car, this system was built on a small budget with subs I already had.Im not the greatest at explaining so sorry if I type to much
heres what I got
Headunit: JVC KD-G230 (found out it only has one set of preouts)
Speakers: Cadence FXS6522 6.5's X 4 (no external crossover)
Subs: 2 12" Audiobahn AW1206T
Amps: Cadence TXA 1000D & Cadence FXA4050 (2ohm 4 X 50rms)
Box: Single chamber 6.2CF ported @ 34hz
I'll start with the problem I found out about 10 seconds ago. My HU only has one set of preouts. I know they can be split since Im running 2 amps. But does that affect your systems sound at all noticably?
So basically Im just installing new speakers and subs, and amps to power all of them. Im not really lost, Ive just never done a big install, nor have I ever wired amped door speakers.
For the door speakers. Im pretty sure the actual wiring to the speakers is easy, simple +/- from the amps 4 chanels to each speaker right? Thats 2ohm?
The input/rcas/***** on the amp are what scare me. Its a 4 chanel amp, but it has inputs for 2 sets of RCAS, only thing that confuses me is that each input **** is labelled..... Ch1/Ch2/Ch3/Ch4. The red input are CH3 and CH1 and the white inputs are CH4 and CH2. Im ASSUMING I use CH1/CH2 (red/white)
On that amp there are also wiring harness inputs. One set of harnesses for each set of chanels. Are those simply not used?
The output and tuning ***** I wont get into detail, cause Im sure there are some FAQ's on it somewhere I can research.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for my subs/amps.
The subs are dual VC. So I found this diagram for wiring
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com...m.gif
This is where Im kinda clueless. I dunno if you guys have ever seen Aw1206t subs or if all dual VC subs are the same. But how I wire these subs to the amps seems like it can be done many ways.
On my subs I have ALOT of +/- terminals. 2+/2- on each side of the sub (8 terminals total)
So when I bring the + and - over from one sub to the other, I dont need to splice into the wire and can simply use the appropriate terminal beside it right? Im gonna have to grab my subs from storage to take a pic and clarify Im sure.
But heres the kicker. These subs will also be INVERTED, cones facing down..... I was told all that needed to be done for that was simply swapping the final +/- on the amp....true?
I'll keep updating and adding pics as I go. Id like to do this install this weekend if my HU and amp shows up intime, thought Id get this wiring out of the way so I can calmly think of it.
Thanks alot for any help given. Love this site.

1st off, your link to the rockford site is no good...
You chose a bad HU for this type of setup. Since you only have one output from your HU I would use that for the sub amp and the sub amp only. Use the 4 factory speaker outputs from the HU and run them to the FXA4050. Hook them up to the "wiring harness inputs" and don't use the RCA's.
Your subs are 4ohm on each coil so if you run them in series (+ from amp to + on coil one, - from coil one to + one coil 2, - on coil to to - on amp) you will have a resistance of 8ohm that the amp will see on that channel.
If you run them in parallel (+ from amp to + on coil one and coil 2, - from amp to - on coil one and 2 then you will have a resistance of 2ohm that the amp will see on that channel.
If you want 4ohm total then then wire each speaker in series, tie the 2 + and 2 - from each speaker that normally would go to each channel and hook them to the + on channel one and the - one channel 2.
I your mid/high speakers are not 2 ohms... You amp is 4x40 @ 4ohms and thats what your mid/highs probably are. You really can't effectively convert them to 2ohms with your setup. Well you can but it's just a wast of time.

I used this drawing

To try and figure out how to wire my Aw1206T's, which are Dual Voice Coil down to 1ohm to run in my TXA 1000D
Heres the blank pic with my subs and terminals incase I got it wrong so someone can maybe connect the dots.
http://img130.imageshack.us/im...7.jpg
And heres how I think it should be wired EXACTLY, wire for wire, terminal to terminal thats exactly how I think it should be done. Im unsure if terminal position matters or not (inside or outside). Remember I have 8 terminals PER sub.

Thanks so much guys

I'm confused, why do your speakers have 8 terminals a piece??? Are you sure 4 of them don't share the same electrical point as the other four?
I have no idea why they have 8 a piece, its 2 + and 2 - per side, they might share the same electrical connection and its simply so you can cram bigger wires in there and for ease of install. But it sure is ******* me up
Well find out, shouldn't be too hard to tell. That is probably the case in which you should be able to figure it out with the info provided.

Looks like they share the same contact. Is the drawing I made correct or can someone help me do it correctly
Yes, your drawing is correct. Your amp will see 1ohm on the 2 power wires. You will want to bridge that to your amps ch1 + and ch2 -
