Wait what do you mean to lower? I thought adjustable shocks adjusted the dampening, not lowering?

Anywho, I think it's clockwise for firm, and counter for soft...I may have it backwards though.

they dont get lower. they get stiffer, and when you do it make sure you push down then turn

No, stiffness only. 1 is softest, 4 is the stiffest.

When you adjust them, do all 4 have to be the same, or can the front 2 be 1 and the rear be 3?

you can miss match all you want. I keep mine on 4, which I think is the red quarter. Super glue it!

Through my reading about suspension I've decided to go 3 up front and 4 in the back but I have a friend that has the same set and he insists that I should go 4 all the way around. He's the same friend that was running his car without an air filter for more power

I tried it liek that too. I honestly can't tell much difference, especially cuz I drive slow. Hey, as for your friend, I got a friend who has a metal screen hose clamped on his turbo...no plenum, no filter....and as wierd and retarded as it IS, the damn thing still runs like a raped date. Stranger things have happened.

I can tell you this much, from all i've read, most people have their fronts set on either 1 or 2 for daily driving and the rears set on 3 or 4. Anything beyond that and you better hope you live in Cali with the roads they have there.
