Default B18C problems

Hi guys I have some questions. First of all I have a 95 EX coupe, I had swaped a B18C OBD1 (JDM GSR) recently but here’s where the issues start. I’m running a stock fuel pump, P28 ECU, Skunk2 Intake Manifold and open header (hate the noise) Now it idles fine but fluctuates like from 600-900 and here’s the weird part.

If I accelerate slowly I can go past 7K RPMs but when I give it more gas it will bog down but not turn off. Same as in any gear, if I want to go faster past 4k RPMs I have to ease the gas. Also when im in neutral and rev it, it will stay at around 6k RPMs.

So what do you guys think will be causing this, no O2 sensor, ECU, or just needs a tune?

i could be wrong, but can you change your distributor(see if any of yourbuddy has one or a spare. so it wont cost any money) and see how that works? where did you bought the motor from, if you dont mind me asking?

quit driving it around if it isn't finished. Tie up all of the loose ends THEN see if there is a problem.

thats the reason..u are running the wrong ecu..thats why car runs rough
and d series fuel pump..vtec or non vtec are the same ..same part number and also is your fuel filter even being changed?

I have almost the same issues on my 95dx coupe with a full GSR swap. My idle is goin from 1k to 1500 though. I am running the right ecu though, P78. I would start with that like Crazyguy said. If it still does it look at the IAC motor and FITV. I just replaced my IAC motor, and did an IGN tune up and the idle is a hell of a lot better.

I too was having bogging problems when full throttle, but the IGN tune up solved that.
