Default obd2 ls-vtec

i have a 00 gsr and my friend want to swap a ls-vtec in my car and i was wondering is it possible to use my ecu, another question, is it better to swap a ls-vtec into my car or should i swap a jdm b16 head onto my gsr block. what would be faster.

staying obd2 doesnt leave you many options for a good tune
