Exedy Clutches suck *****. If you want a stock feeling clutch, then just buy a stock clutch.

I have a few friends who bought the Exedy **** and they feel exactly like the stock clutch, and they grip just like the stock ITR clutch too.

If you're spending money on a clutch and you want a better than factory clutch, then I would suggest either ACT Heavy Duty P.P with the hybrid-lined street disc or a ClutchNet 25% over stock P.P and sprung hub street disc in either organic or Fiber-Tuff lining.

Clutch Masters sucks as well.

Compare a ClutchNet disc with its fully-encased springs to the ultra-shitty CM discs which are notorious for springs popping out.

I've ran ACT and ClutchNet and I could not be happier with either. The ACT I have in my B16A2-powered Si hatch is 2 years old and still barks 3rd gear.

The ClutchNet Clutch I have is more aggressive than what you're looking for, but it withstands 8000-8500rpm drag launches on slicks with no problems at all. I had over 15 passes at those launches and the clutch still grips like a motherf'er.

I have the ClutchNet Double Diaphram P.P with 6-puck, sprung hub disc. While it is not kind to the flywheel, it does grip like hell. It's the disc that hurts the flywheel though, so you could get the Fiber Tuff disc and still have a crazy gripping clutch that doesn't kill your flywheel.

75 shot and slicks, only slipped on 3-4 power shift WHILE spraying!

When I went to 85 shot I had my Kaaz LSD, 12.2 lb shaved flywheel, and a left over Centerforce DF from a CRX swap.

Stock type Clutch works great for me. Unless your streetracing or dragracing all the time it will be fine. I have had mine for a year and half with lots of hard street driving and Autox.

...For now. Wiat until your spring pops out of the disc and you cnnot get the car into any gear because the spring is in a bind and tearing **** up.

I've seen some CM discs with a ton of friction surface left but a spring(s) popped out and it wasn't worth ****.

CM is a name that is recognizable, so of course people will buy that ****.

Sorry, not ripping on you personally, but I've seen too many CM ****-clutches to ever recommend them.

Awhile back somesone suggested using the cm disk with the act pp or something like that. I have had my act hdss for 35k mi and it is not grabbing like it used to and I think I may buy one in the next year or so. Is this a viable suggestion?

BTW my friend had an exedy and raced on slicks 3rd pass popped a spring so that goes to tell you i believe that clutch is more road race oriented but thats just me

Well, I'm not THE clutch authority by any means, but if you read my posts you will understand my feelings about CM discs.

To run a shitty-*** CM disc with an ACT P.P would not make much sense to me. The CM discs are proned to springs popping out.

What ever floats your boats though guys! Don't take it from me, just go out and buy that CM and see how you like it!

I`ve used two hyperclutches. Liked them both.

Crotchmasters is garbage.

I just purchased an ACT for my hatch.

Under what conditions did you have problems with your clutch? Problems can occur from any number of reasons..."Results may vary" is the term that comes to mind when speaking of clutches (and brakepads for that matter).

...Or just get a stock ITR clutch because they feel nearly identical.
