um, noooooo...

96-00 the "CX" and "DX" engines are the same, (D16Y7)

the 92-95 the "CX" and "DX" engines are different, (D15B7 = DX, D15B8= CX)

CX has a 8 valve head, and VERY small intake manifold and throttle body
DX has a 16 vavle head and a larger intake manifold and throttle body.

The 92-95 "DX" head WILL bolt up to your "CX" bottom like it is ment to be there since they are from the same series. Just get a new head gasket and head studs and you are fine.

Yes I second that it will fit just fine, and your intake will bolt up to it as well, but i wouldn't recommend it. Get the intake manifold and the throttlebody from the dx. There is a HUGE port size difference. I did it once and was pretty impressed at the mini-mini-me did. A high compression dx motor is what you will be making.

i heard it will bolt up but it won't work. the CX pistons only have releifs for 2 valves per piston...
can anyone else verify this???

Hmm, that's a possibility. Well, when he has that head off, I guess he can check for us!
