its a epoxy or some sort of glue i believe. im not sure how exactly to describe it. but yeah you could do that or go to a body shop and get it welded and splash some color on it.

well I can't see what happened under it but was your car ever in an accident? If the metal is not actually split there then I would just put some seam sealer on it. If the metal is split, bang it together tack it in place, clean the welds on both sides, use an acid primer and then seam seal it.

its actually split, i don't think the car was ever in an accident everything on the car is original and the back bumper doesn't show signs of a collision that could cause this split. any ideas what could make this happen? just curious

If you have access to a welding machine, I would get in the back bang it in to make it even then weld it up. Then you can touch it up with grinder with soft wheel. Primer it. I don't think that JB weld would do that great of a job on something like that, there might be more flexing down there were the JB weld would then break. But hey I might be wrong

my 95 civic ex
my 94 dx coupe
my 92 cx hatch

all have this problem. its just a split in the sealer. i just left it alone because i figured i might make it worse.
