Default CRX b16 throttle bracket, Not sure which one i have...Can you identfy it??

My b16 came with a new cable mounted to the intake manifold. The b16 was in a crx previoulsy i was told. But i can't seem to get the cable slack out. When i put my finger under the cable i can easily move it up and down. See in pics how i can't pull that cable back anymore or i won't be able to tighten the lock nut. Should i change the bracket or is the cable wrong???

that looks like the 1st gen b16a bracket. what throttle cable are you using? if its stock, you will either need to use a 90-91 throttle cable, or rig up your bracket. i think password:jdm also sells a bracket to use the stock cable and b16a bracket.

That cable came with my motor, I bought it from someone who had it in a 91 crx. Thats def not a stock cable as it is longer....But i think if i get a new bracket i am better off, Which bracket does everyone use with the teg cable???

Pretty sure i have a teg cable. But looks like stock bracket

If your using the same bracket do you have the same slack problem??

I see your cable is a little slanted, Did you bend the bracket?

Also the motor your using has a different manifold then me, What motor is that? I know b16 from sir or xsi?

you could unbolt it, move it to the right and secure it wilth one bolt. slack would be gone. then find the right bracket or fab your own.

Yeah i was affaid it would come loose. Before making my own i thought i would search on here, I thought this was common but noone has a specific bracket for me to use. I am sure its the 90-93 cable but i must have the stock bracket.

ANyone know the right bracket to use on the b16 with 90-93 throttle cable??

I am using the stock 1990 std model throttle cable with a inovative throttle bracket. Works great. Oh by the way this is also on a B16.
