no there isn't any fix... just gonna have to get used to it... with enough practice in this car, heel-toe can be tackled.

whats is this lag you speak of. its just in everyones heads. GM's have been TBW since 03. Now the new models come out and there complaining of lag, its been the same system for the past 5 years. Same applys here.

 

I have read these complaints as well and I have never had this happen in my 07 Si Sedan. I do have a slight rev hang, but even this has never been an issue for me while driving. I know the DBW makes it harder for the aftermarket to make parts, but it has never effected the drivability of the car for me.

 

i find it hard since im used to the slightest tap and the motor revs. i drove my friends si and the delay sucks when i tried heeltoeing it. driving it feels the same. i guess itll take some getting used to.

No, it's really not. Go ahead and test it - come to a rolling stop and then blip the throttle. You'll notice it take up to a few seconds or several attempts to make the motor rev up. This is just one example of a couple of scenarios when this happens.

 

so the honda reflash or hondata reflash does not fix this problem or make it minimal?

is the tsx the same way?

supposedly hondata helps, i wouldnt know since i have an fg1. also, depending on your vin range, the dealer may be able to update your ecu with the latest version on HDS.

 

i have no trubble busting some heel-toe in my 07 si iam sure youll get used to it

 

I can't say as to the post above about it being new or not, however I can say that it is noticed. Maybe if you have owned newer vehicles it isn't.

My last vehicle was a 1994 Chevy s-10. I hit the gas, it made sound. My 07 EX is considerably "slower" to rev up. It bothers me that I can tell a time difference between my foot depressing the pedal and my eyes and ears seeing the tach and hearing the engine.

On the other hand, my 07 has warranty and under 195K so I let it slide. =D

come out on the clutch a little and it will rev. its a safety feature.
when the clutch is fully depressed it wont rev up. but if you come off the floor almost to engagment, it will rev like a normal cable setup. its all in the programing.
