Default Y8 Vtec Pressure sensor questions...

Hopefully this forum will be more helpful...

I have a d16y8 head I'm putting on my d15 and my vtec oil pressure sensor is broken. I'd like not to have to spend more money so Im wondering if I can bypass the sensor and not use it at all?
Has anyone done this with the y8? I've heard of people with JDM b motors needing to do this when using the USDM ECUs, so I would think it would work the same way, but can anyone confirm this for me? Please I really need help on this.
Thanks!

Is there a JDM p28? I'm putting the y8 head on my D15 in my 91 Civic hatch.

yea you bypass it the exact same way people do when they use JDM motors, tap the pressure switch signal into the VTEC output

you ******* newbs are getting worse and worse

edit: your better off buying a new pressure switch for ~$20 and fix the problem instead of just covering it up

Thanks for the help... finally a good strait answer!

I don't want to cover it up, but the sensor I have is broke and I haven't been able to find a cheap sensor and plug for the life of me. I really don't want to spend 50 bucks for either, so I was looking for a way to make this all work. I know it's just a saftey anyway.

But again, thanks.
