so...i think my clutch broke.
today i drove to work, everything was fine. when i went to leave 5 hours later, i went to press down on the clutch and it felt as if there was no spring left to it, it went flat to the floor and stayed there. also, i couldnt get it into any gears.i had to leave it at my work, it was not able to be driven. is it possible its completly shot? or maybe its a cable? I have had no issues with shifting in the past weeks..this came out of no where. i have a 93 h22 prelude with 149,000 miles. original clutch. thanks to anyone who replies!
i'd say check your master cylinder first
check:
under your floormat on driver side (pedal area) for grease
look into your engine bay- the corner that is closest to the steering column. theres a little resorvoir there, the smallest one will be your clutch master cylinder resorvoir. uncap it and see if u have any fluid left.
-clutch down on the springless clutch and turn the key. in neutral.. it should stall out in a matter of seconds

i never thought of that! thank you so much, yeah, i havent checked those fluids in a longggg time. funny, because my oil light popped on a few times..my mistake.i hope thats what it is! i may go up there and try it now.. thanks again.
i get freaked out every time i crank my car and see the oil light cuz im sleepy in the morning and wake up in the car.
check ur oil too to see how much you're actually running on.. oil light on while driving is prob not good.

check your oil level just in case, and its probably your master cylinder.. i'd suggest buying the parts yourself and hiring a "mobile mechanic" to do the install cuz it can be done on the spot and shouldn't take more than an hour of labor. make sure the clutch is bled completely and all bubbles are out.
change out your master and slave cylinder, i dont think they're more than 30bucks each? and mobile mechanics usually charge like 30-40bucks an hour. overall 100-150$

watch to see that your slave cylinder is making the full travel. If its not, its either blown out, or the CLUTCH master cylinder is shot. If the slave was blown you would probably see it leaking fluid.
