Default Back-Up fuse

I have a 94 Civic DX, Automatic. Anybody know why my backup fuse keeps burning out? The fuse is fine, but right after I put it in Reverse or Drive, the fuse burns out. I have to keep putting a new fuse everytime i drive my car. Cluster light still on, but temp needle, gas needle, speedo and little red box that surrounds the gears are not working. Thoughts?

yeah, trace the short.

you need to look at your wiring beginning under the dash, and look for possible shorts like bare wires or any kind of hack jobs or wires rubbing on moving parts.

try to find a diagram for the back-up fuse circuit to help things go quicker.
