I donīt know if it is the age of my car but one problem after the other is happening.
I have spent more than 20 hours working on the car i spent more than 150 dolars and until now nothing yet.
Here is what happened last saturday it was a real hot day and i was cruising with my car when i heard a boiling sound i looked under the car and cooling liquid was dripping, after opening the hood i noticed that the plastic container was over flowing with cooling liquid boilng and boiling..so i chequed the whole car for leaks and nothing. I noticed that my cooling fan wasnīt working so I let the car cool dwon checked the temperature and it was ok. So i put a clipse in the circuit of the fan so it would be turned on the whole time so i could get home. Bought a bottle of water and kept driving stoping and filling the radiator until i got home.
After getting home I went to the honda dealer bought a new thermostat sensor and hooked it up changed the fluid and bought a new radiator lid. To my surprise the car started to over heat meaning above the middle line and nothing of the fan switching on. checked the plug made various testes including testing if the new thermostat was working with heat and everything seems fine the thermostat when applyed a bit of heat froma candle switches on the fan with no problem checked the switches and they seem to be fine.
After making all the tests seems like the thermostat sensor(new) is working but when plugged in the car it doesnīt work.
the car is over heating the water boils and goes back into the plastic compartment without the fan switcghing on.
even when i drove the car with the fan on the whole time the car was still over heating.
I have no idea what could be the problem since i spent many many hours i really appreciate any help....
I thought about head gasket blown but my oil in the carter is clear clean and why wouldnīt the sensor start up the cooling fan.?
I thought could the thermostat valve be broken?
or could my water pump be broken?
Please help if someone has experience with the system please help me..
I am trying my best to fix it but i am out of ideas....

Your oil could be clean as a whistle, so could your coolant and you could still have a blown HG. I had very similar symptoms to what you describe, car felt like it only lost a tiny "bite" in power but would run hotter than normal and overflow tank would fill up and spill coolant out. I had a very slight HG leak, all other cylinder were showing 240 psi and the one with the HG leak showed around 180. Do a compression test. Although you could show good compression on a comp. test and still have a HG problem.

well the first time it went to 2/3 of heat and i turned it off. Ok but if my head gasket is blown it still doesnīt explain why the thermostat sensor wonīt switch the fan on. how could my temperature read above the middle line and the fan not turn on that would be the mistery question....and yes i was using cooling and water now only watert until i fix the problem

check for a short/fuse.... and make sure you bleed all the air out the system
