where is a good location to mount the map sensor?. mine is just hanging in the engine bay near the starter. does it have to be mounted at all? here is a pic of what im talking about. there is also a plug that is not connected that is on the same loom as the map sensor does anyone know what its for?

At least it needs to be tied down to keep the vacuum hose from breaking.

Cyclic stress or vibration will eventually break the vacuum hose, is it plastic. No just put it away from the hot items and keep it from vibrating, probably not on the engine, it probably originally mounted on the firewall???

It was on the firewall they mount to a little bracket up there wich is prolly gone now. It prolly wont hurt anythign being down there but it is sloppy. I'd Zip tie it to somthing. And the other plug is for the purg solinoid valve.

Get a newer TB so that type of map sensor is mounted to it. Older style ones have the map sensor mounted to the wall, factory EF styles.
