new intake

Default new intake

im installing a new short ram intake into my 90 civic dx. is there any specific way i should take out the original one?

Nope, just start unbolting and it will come out. What kind of motor do you have?

i really dont know -_- haha. its the stock motor. all it says is 16 valve. would you know what it is?

Just make sure the metal on the intake does not touch the batteries positive terminal.

I'm not 100% sure...it's a vent for the head. Your intake should have a hose to connect to the head from the intake.

how do u remove that hose? r u serious? take off the clamp, then pull out hose.

The absolute next thing you should do would be to replace the DPFI with the MPFI.

ALOT. Try to imagine the gains when you replace a small diameter TB, one injector and the secondary with a larger TB, and FOUR injectors. Each cylinder gets a more precisely metered amount of fuel. Gains of over 10 HP are common. With an engine rated only for 92 HP, you can definitely feel improvement. I'd reset it for the hell of it. Why not?

you could but i mean come on its an intake on a stock dpfi car. maybe 1 hp if you're lucky? its not adding much if anything.

I meant switching over to MPFI. THAT will do something.
